OET Test Preparation Course for Nurses – Pass Your Nursing English Exam in Glasgow
Worried about failing your OET nursing exam? Struggling with the specific test format and time pressures?
You’re a qualified nurse, but the OET test format feels overwhelming. The listening sub-test medical scenarios, reading comprehension under time pressure, writing referral letters, and speaking role-plays can feel impossible to master. Many nurses fail their first attempt simply because they don’t understand the test structure and requirements.
What is the Occupational English Test?
The Occupational English Test (OET) is an English language test designed specifically for the healthcare sector. The test is accepted worldwide by a wide range of healthcare organisations in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Namibia and Singapore. Recently, it was announced that you can also use the OET as evidence of English for Tier 2 visas. This means you can use one exam for registration and visa purposes.

Can I take the test at Live Language?
Yes you can, but you need to book your test through the OET page. OET deals with all registration, payment, and results enquiries. When you have registered for the test with OET, you will receive a email with information about your test day. This is usually sent about 5 days before your exam.
Please note, our centre does not have headsets for the listening section, but our rooms are small and we have excellent audio equipment. We only offer the paper-based test at the current time. To book a test, click on the button below. Only the test dates that are available will be shown. If a test date does not appear, then the exam is fully booked. We recommend that you book well in advance of your chosen test date to make sure you get a space.

Frequently asked questions
Live Language has a good location and people are very kind. It’s a very small school, so we can know each other very well. I have made many friends from many countries.
Yukari, Japan
It was well structured, and covered a good amount of content each week. I didn’t feel like we spent too long on one area, yet everything was explained clearly.
Steven
My English is far better now and most of the credit goes to all the Live Language teachers. I am still in touch with all the teachers and staff members. Thank you so much.

My lessons were very interesting, we are learning in different ways and thanks to that, I feel more confident now than before.

My teacher was very patient and friendly, went at a good pace and you could work on what you had learned at home to consolidate what you learned in class. Loved it.
